Reclaiming what is yours!

Ever taken a bath after a long warm day? Doesn’t it feel revitalizing?

Now, imagine! Try to internalize paradise!

It is within you. It might need some dusting! But it is within you. It might be buried under days, years, or even perhaps decades of disobedience. But I swear by the lord that provided you with the eyes you are reading with, you may reclaim it. Please do not hesitate! Do not shy away from taking what is yours! Your spot, my spot in Janna is ready for us. But we might be the ones that forsake ourselves!! Allah will never forsake us!! But first reclaim the jannah of your today before the one of your tomorrow.

What do I mean by all of this?

Have you ever done something for the sake of Allah? Not because you were expected to do! Not for the sake of keeping appearances! But simply because you were tired and wanted a change!

Did you ever wanted to plead with Allah to fill you with love, peace and tranquility? Then, did you ever get up or even simply read from your duaa book with conviction? Or maybe just listened to a Quran audio on the web? Just hoping that Allah hasn’t forsaken you!

What have you felt?

Did you ever feel like a cool ginger ale being poured into your body? Did you feel the cool wind chimes tingling all through out you?

That is the jannah of this today! It is called Iman! Allah is cleansing your heart! Granting you a move towards the jannah of tomorrow!

For today that is the closest we can get to the jannah of tomorrow! Indeed it is only a friction of what will be in store for you and I, lest we forsake ourselves and choose hundreds of days of mere play to an eternal life of bliss.

Before the sun of today sets, make a move!! Reclaim your jannah!

I leave you with the words of the one that created for you the eyes you see with, the ears you hear with and the tongue you speak with:

Surah Al Kahaf:

Verse 31: For them will be Gardens of Eternity; beneath them rivers will flow; they will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and they will wear green garments of fine silk and heavy brocade; they will recline therein on raised thrones. How good the recompense! How beautiful a couch to recline on!

Testing Testing!

It is 4:30 in the morning and here I am browsing the web not knowing what I am searching for. So I decided to write in this long neglected blog of mine.

Inshallah, with the will of Allah, I will document the life of a "Seeker of Silk Brocade" in Canada.

I choose that name, or title, or whatever you may call it, because I identify myself as such. I thought of calling my self "Seeker of Paradise", but that would destroy the uniqueness of this blog. Yes, I do want paradise. But I do not want it as an abstract state that will come in the future, but rather; I want its fruits, cushions, clothing, music, scent, and all that it entails.

I choose to remain in Canada to be an example to others. We live in a time and day where Islam is hijacked and attacked from all corners! Thus, I have recently decided to wear the niqab (face veil) to show the world, my school mates, professors, ‘moderate’ Muslims and everyone that I come in contact with, that I am an educated Canadian Muslim Woman who wants to show the world that a niqabi could be more then a housewife!!! (not that there is anything wrong with being a housewife)

Most niqabis (sisters who wear the face veil) are shy, and withdrawn from the mainstream society. I noticed that it was always others explaining to the west that no they are not oppressed nor forced into wearing the niqab. However, with me wearing one and being as active as I am, I hope people to see that this is my choice, as much as it is for a woman who decided to walk around topless!!!
